What is PRP Tear Trough treatment?
PRP Tear Troughs uses Platelet-Rich Plasma — a concentrated portion of your own blood — to rejuvenate the under-eye area. Instead of filling the hollow with a synthetic gel, PRP stimulates your body's own collagen and elastin production, gradually thickening the skin, softening shadows, and restoring a healthier, more rested appearance.
It's an ideal option for clients who want brightness and rejuvenation in the under-eye area but aren't ready for — or are not candidates for — hyaluronic acid filler.
How PRP works under the eyes
A small sample of blood is drawn and processed in a specialized centrifuge that separates out the platelet-rich plasma. This concentrated PRP contains growth factors that trigger your body's natural regenerative response.
The PRP is then carefully injected into the tear trough area using very fine needles. Over the following weeks, the growth factors stimulate new collagen production, improved circulation, and gradual thickening of the delicate under-eye skin — softening dark circles and hollowing over time.
What PRP Tear Troughs can do
- Brighten under-eye shadows and dark circles
- Improve the thin, delicate skin texture around the eyes
- Naturally soften the appearance of hollows without adding volume
- Use your own body's growth factors — no synthetic material
- Reduce fine lines and crepe-like skin
- Gradual, natural-looking results
Is PRP Tear Troughs right for me?
PRP Tear Troughs is ideal for clients who want under-eye rejuvenation but prefer a natural, regenerative approach over dermal filler. It's especially good for:
Those with thin, discolored, or crepey under-eye skin. Clients who are not ideal candidates for filler (e.g. those with severe hollowing that filler wouldn't correct well). Anyone who prefers using their body's own materials rather than synthetic products. A series of 2–3 treatments, spaced 4–6 weeks apart, delivers the best results.
