The Importance of Patience in your Aesthetic Journey

By: Margaryta Suvorova, RN

Small steps yield great results. Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither is beautiful transformation!   Amazing results using dermal fillers take time, but trust the process and your injector.

Don’t expect dermal fillers to be a one and done treatment.  We are building on a foundation, slowly and safely getting you to the results you want to see. Hyaluronic Acid (HA) dermal fillers, such as Juvederm, RHA, Belotero, Versa, or Restylane, last about 8-12 months and from the moment it is injected, your body starts metabolizing it.  This gives us two battles as injectors – the continuing aging process plus the filler which is already slowly dissolving.  This is why we continue to create building blocks with more treatments to achieve our aesthetic goals.  Also, to keep the most natural looking results, I never like overfilling in a single appointment – moderation is key.

As we age, not only do we lose collagen in our skin making it appear saggy, but our bones become smaller resulting in lesser support for the skin.  This makes us in turn, lose definition and that desirable countered look in our face.  Dermal fillers can restore that youthful appearance by adding volume in all the right places – namely, where we see visible deficiencies.

This gorgeous result was achieved over three sessions of neurotoxin and dermal fillers. First, I treated her cheeks to create a nice foundation for the mid-face with added volume.  This minimizes the extra volume that weighed her lower face due to the natural aging process.  I also added a syringe of Versa, which is among my favorites for lips – this gave her a gorgeous pout!

This patient saw me 5 months later when I treated her chin and jawline with Restylane Lyft, and I added another syringe of Versa to her lips. We are getting so close to her aesthetic goal – gradually and safely!

Finally, on her last appointment- I injected her lips, chin and jawline again with the same product for a top off a perfectly defined contour of the face.
